3.33. Dismantling and assembly of the engine

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Before dismantling we clear the engine of dirt.

Head "on 17" we turn off three bolts of fastening to the block of cylinders of an arm of a reducer of the forward bridge...

... also we remove an arm.

Head "on 13" we turn off four nuts of fastening to the block of cylinders of an arm of the left support of the power unit...

... also we remove an arm assembled with a pillow.
After removal of arms on their fixing hairpins and carving openings in the block of cylinders we mount a plate of the dismantling stand and we fix the engine at the stand. We remove coupling (see Replacement of the conducted and conducting clutch plates).
We remove a flywheel and a cover of a case of coupling (see Replacement of a back epiploon of a bent shaft).

Head "on 13" we turn off four nuts of fastening to the block of cylinders of an arm of the right support of the power unit...

... also we remove an arm with a pillow.

Head "on 17" we turn off three bolts of fastening to the block of cylinders of an arm of the generator...

... also we remove an arm.

Kruglogubtsami we weaken a fastening collar to a branch pipe of the taking-away tube of a radiator of a heater of a hose of removal of cooling liquid from throttle knot (VAZ-21214 engine) or from the block of heating of the carburetor (VAZ-21213).

We remove a hose from a branch pipe of the taking-away tube.

Head "on 10" we turn off two nuts of fastening of a flange of the taking-away heater radiator tube to a pump housing of cooling liquid.

Having turned off a nut of fastening of an arm of a tube to a final collector (see Replacement of laying of an inlet pipe and a final collector of the vpryskovy engine)...

... we pick up the taking-away phone of a radiator of a heater and its sealing laying.

Head "on 13" we turn off three bolts of fastening of the pump of cooling liquid to the block of cylinders...

... also we remove the pump of cooling liquid assembled and its laying.

On the vpryskovy engine we dismantle a head of the block of cylinders assembled with a receiver, an inlet pipe and a final collector (see Removal and dismantling of a head of the block of cylinders of the vpryskovy engine).
On the carburetor engine we remove a head of the block of cylinders assembled with the carburetor, an inlet pipe and a final collector (see Removal and dismantling of a head of the block of cylinders of the carburetor engine).
We remove an oil separator of system of ventilation of a case, the pallet of a case and the oil pump (see appropriate sections).

Head "on 10" we turn off six bolts of fastening of the holder of a back epiploon of a bent shaft to the block of cylinders.

We hook the screw-driver for inflows the holder of a back epiploon...

... also we remove the holder assembled with an epiploon.

From grooves of the holder of an epiploon we take two special bolts (with square heads) fastenings of a cover of a case of coupling.

We remove laying of the holder of a back epiploon.

We uncover the camshaft drive, we dismantle a chain, an asterisk of a bent shaft, the roller of the drive of the oil pump, a boot of a natyazhitel of a chain (see appropriate sections).
Cap key "on 10" we turn off a bolt of fastening of an arm of a drain tube of an oil separator of system of ventilation of a case of the engine.

We remove an arm.

Head "on 14" we turn off two nuts of fastening of a cover of a rod (the piston at the same time has to be in NMT).

Having knocked on side surfaces of a cover with the hammer with plastic brisk...

... we uncover a rod.

We take out the lower insert of the conrod bearing from a cover.

Leaning on end faces of cores of conrod bolts, we shift the lower head of a rod from a conrod neck of a bent shaft.

Resting the wooden handle of the hammer against the socket of the lower head of a rod, we push the piston in the cylinder...

... also we take out the piston with a rod from the cylinder.

We take out the top insert of the bearing from a rod head.
Similarly we take pistons with rods from other cylinders.
We clamp a rod in a vice with overlays of sponges from soft metal.

Fingers of hands carefully (without making big effort) we unclench the lock of the top compression ring...

... also we remove the top compression ring.

In the same way we remove...

... lower compression ring...

... two disks of an oil ring.

We remove a dilator of an oil scraper ring.

For removal of the piston from a rod...

... we hook the screw-driver a lock ring of a piston finger...

... also we take it from a ring flute of the piston.

In the same way we take out the second lock ring of a finger.
Having shifted a piston finger...

... we take it from an opening in the piston.

We remove the piston from the top head of a rod.

If some details of conrod and piston group are not damaged and a little worn-out, then can be used again. Therefore when dismantling we mark details to install them in the former cylinder.

Head "on 17" we turn off two bolts of fastening of a cover of the radical bearing of a bent shaft.

We uncover the radical bearing.

We take out the lower insert of the radical bearing from a cover.

In the same way we remove four more covers of radical bearings.

We take out a bent shaft from the block of cylinders.

We take out persistent half rings from the protocheck of a back support of the block of cylinders.

We take out the top inserts of radical bearings of a bent shaft from support of the block of cylinders.

After dismantling of the engine it is washed carefully out by gasoline and we clear of a detail deposit for check of their technical condition.
For definition of wear of cylinders...

... we measure by a nutromer diameter of the cylinder in four belts and two planes (parallel to and perpendicular to an axis of a bent shaft).

For definition of wear of a skirt of the piston...

... we measure by a micrometer diameter in the plane, a perpendicular axis of a piston finger, at distance of 55 mm from the piston bottom.

We measure by a micrometer diameters...

... conrod necks...

... and radical necks of a bent shaft.

We grind necks of a bent shaft to the next repair size if their wear or ovality is more than 0,03 mm and also if on necks there are teases and risks.
After grinding of necks of a bent shaft...

... it is necessary to remove caps of oil channels...

... to carefully wash out channels for removal of the remains of an abrasive and to blow compressed air.
Grinding of necks of a bent shaft, removal and installation of new caps is carried out on HUNDRED.
We assemble the engine in the return sequence.
We establish new inserts of bearings of a bent shaft of the nominal or repair size (after grinding of necks).
In the first, second, fourth and fifth support of the block of cylinders we establish the top inserts of radical bearings with pro-points...

... and in the third support — an insert without pro-point on an internal surface (same, as in covers of radical bearings).

We oil inserts of radical bearings engine and we stack a bent shaft in support.

We insert the persistent half rings oiled by engine into pro-points of the fifth support.

From the forward party of the fifth support we establish a steel-aluminum half ring, and from the back party – ceramic-metal (yellow color).

Surfaces of half rings with an antifrictional covering (on them grooves are executed) have to be turned to persistent surfaces of a bent shaft.

We establish covers of radical bearings according to the tags put on their external surface (count is kept from the camshaft drive).

At the same time locks of the top and lower inserts of each radical bearing have to be located on the one hand.

We tighten bolts of fastening of covers of radical bearings the ordered moment (see the Moments of an inhaling of threaded connections).

Pistons approach cylinders on classes.

The class of diameter of the cylinder designated by letters is branded on the lower plane of the block of cylinders (the plane of fastening of the pallet of a case).

Classes of diameters of a skirt of the piston, and opening under a piston finger are marked on its bottom.

The arrow at its installation in the cylinder has to be directed to the piston bottom towards the camshaft drive.
At assembly of conrod and piston group it is necessary that the piston finger oiled engine entered an opening of the piston or a rod with effort of a hand and did not drop out of them at vertical position of a finger.
For check of a gap in the lock of a piston ring we insert a ring into the cylinder and we level a ring the piston bottom.

A set of flat probes we check a gap in the lock of a piston ring.

We oil engine flutes on pistons.
We install on ring pistons.

We establish the lower compression ring by a pro-point ("scraper") down.

If on a ring about the lock the tag "TOP" or "TORAHS" is put, then we establish a ring by a tag up.
Rings have to be turned in flutes freely without jammings.
We have rings as follows:
we focus the lock of the top compression ring at an angle 45 ° to an axis of a piston ring;
the lock of the lower compression ring — at an angle 180 ° to an axis of the lock of the top ring;
the lock of an oil scraper ring — at an angle 90 ° to an axis of the lock of the top compression ring (the joint of a dilator is had from outside, opposite to the lock).
Before installation of details of ShPG we grease cylinders, pistons with rings and connecting rods engine oil.

Before installation of the piston in the cylinder we put on an adjustable mandrel the piston...

... and, pulling together a mandrel, we squeeze piston rings.
We install the piston with a rod in the cylinder.

Resting the hammer handle against the piston bottom, we push it in the cylinder.

At installation of a cover of a rod number on a rod and a cover has to coincide and settle down on the one hand a rod.

We tighten nuts of fastening of a rod the ordered moment (see the Moments of an inhaling of threaded connections). Further assembly is carried out to the sequences to the return dismantling. We replace sealing laying and epiploons new.

At installation of a flywheel we focus it so that adjusting (a conical hole), located on the back plane of a flywheel near a gear wreath, settled down opposite to a conrod neck of the fourth cylinder.
