20:13. Check of working capacity and adjustment of the drive of the regulator of pressure of back brakes

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Work is carried out with the assistant on a viewing ditch or the elevator.

We remove a protective cover of the regulator of pressure.

By pressing a brake pedal with effort of 70-80 kgfs …

… we watch movement of the acting part of the piston of the regulator concerning its case.

If the piston moves to 0,5–0,9 mm, twisting the torsion lever, then the regulator of pressure is efficient. If when pressing a brake pedal the piston remains motionless, then the regulator of pressure is faulty and it should be replaced new.
Adjustment of the drive of the regulator of pressure of back brakes is necessary when weakening bolts of its fastening, and also after any works connected with removal of a beam of the back bridge, replacement of springs and shock-absorbers of a back suspension bracket.
For adjustment we hang out a back axis of the car and we remove a protective cover of the regulator.

Two keys "on 10" we turn off a nut of a bolt of fastening of a tip of the lever of the regulator to draft of an arm of the back bridge.

We take out a bolt.

We take out a lever tip from a draft eye.

Key "on 13" we weaken bolts of fastening of the regulator to an arm.

We rest the end of a ruler against a body floor. Lifting or lowering the end of the lever, we establish it at distance of 135±5 mm from a body longeron. At the same time, …

… moving the regulator on bolts concerning an arm cut, …

… we try to obtain easy contact of the acting part of the piston with the end of the lever. Holding the regulator in such situation, we tighten bolts of its fastening. Assembly is carried out in the return sequence.
At the correct adjustment of the drive of the regulator of pressure of back brakes blocking of back wheels when braking has to come a bit later, than lobbies (when braking from the speed of 30-40 km/h).
