17.7. Dismantling of a reducer of the back bridge

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Before removal we clear a reducer of dirt. The dismantled reducer is established on a workbench.

Key "on 10" we turn off a bolt of fastening of a lock plate of an adjusting nut of the right bearing of a box of differential …

… also we remove a plate.

Similarly we remove a lock plate of an adjusting nut of the left bearing.

We mark with a center punch an arrangement of covers of bearings of a box of differential on a reducer case.

Cap key "on 17" we turn off two bolts of fastening of a cover of the right bearing of a box of differential …

… also we take out bolts.

We uncover the right bearing.

We take out an adjusting nut …

… also we remove an external ring of the bearing of a box of differential.

Similarly we uncover, we take out an adjusting nut and we remove an external ring of the left bearing of a box of differential.
If we do not change bearings of a box of differential, then we mark their external rings not to mix at assembly.

We remove a differential box assembled with the conducted gear wheel of the main transfer, internal rings, separators and rollers of bearings.

From a case of a reducer we take out the leading gear wheel assembled with an adjusting ring, an internal ring, a separator and rollers of the back bearing and the expansion plug.

We remove the expansion plug.

Striking blows with the hammer through a drift to an internal ring of the back bearing of a reducer, …

… we remove an internal ring with a separator and rollers.

We remove an adjusting ring of the leading gear wheel.

We take from a reducer case nest an epiploon (see Replacement of an epiploon of the leading gear wheel of the main transfer).

We take out a maslootrazhatel …

… and an internal ring of the forward bearing with a separator and rollers.

By drift it is beaten out an external ring of the forward bearing of the leading gear wheel …

… also we take out it.

Having turned a case, similarly we beat out an external ring of the back bearing of the leading gear wheel.
For dismantling of differential …

... by a stripper it is pressed an internal ring of the bearing of a box of differential.

In the absence of a stripper we insert a chisel between torets of an internal ring of the bearing and a box of differential.

Striking blows to a chisel, we shift an internal ring of the bearing.

Into the formed gap it is inserted two powerful screw-drivers (or assembly shovels) and we press …

… an internal ring of the bearing with a separator and rollers.

Similarly we press an internal ring of other bearing.
Having clamped a differential box in a vice with overlays of sponges from soft metal, …

… a cap key "on 17" we turn off eight bolts of fastening of the conducted gear wheel to a differential box.

The hammer with plastic brisk we force down the conducted gear wheel from a differential box …

… also we remove a gear wheel.

We take out an axis of satellites.

Turning satellites, we take out them from a differential box.

We take out semi-axial gear wheels...

... and their basic washers.

Before assembly we wash out reducer details in kerosene and we examine them. We check a condition of teeths of gear wheels of the main transfer. Injuries at least of one tooth (a vykrashivaniye, teases of a working surface) are inadmissible. With a fine-grained skin it is eliminated insignificant damages of an axis of satellites, necks of gear wheels of half shafts and their landing openings to a differential box. At serious damages of details we replace them with new. At detection even of insignificant damages of surfaces of basic washers of gear wheels of half shafts we replace washers on new (with a selection of thickness of washers). Bearings of the leading gear wheel and a box of differential have to be without wear, with smooth working surfaces. Bad condition of bearings is the reason of noise and jamming of teeths of gear wheels.
Internal rings of bearings of a box of differential with separators and rollers napressovyvay on a box a suitable piece of a pipe. We fix the conducted gear wheel on a differential box.
At assembly of differential we oil gearbox gear wheels of half shafts with basic washers and satellites and we establish them in a differential box. We turn satellites and gear wheels of half shafts so that to combine an axis of rotation of satellites with an axis of openings in a differential box, and we insert an axis of satellites. The axial gap of each gear wheel of a half shaft should not exceed 0,1 mm. At the increased gap we replace basic washers of gear wheels of half shafts new – bigger thickness. The moment of resistance to rotation of gear wheels of differential should not exceed 14,7 N. of m (1,5 кгс.м) – gear wheels are turned by a hand.

We check ease of rotation of gear wheels of differential.

The tool head (pipe piece) suitable on diameter we press an external ring of the forward bearing in a case nest.

Similarly we press an external ring of the back bearing.
The correct provision of the leading gear wheel which is rather conducted is provided with selection of thickness of the adjusting ring established between an end face of the leading gear wheel and an internal ring of the back bearing. When replacing the main couple of reducer or bearings of the leading gear wheel we select an adjusting ring. For this purpose we manufacture adaptation of an old leading gear wheel: we weld a plate 80 mm long on a gear wheel and we grind a plate in the size 50-0,02mm concerning a gear wheel end face (the plane of a prileganiye of an adjusting ring).

We pierce (or we process a small skin) an installation site of the back bearing on the leading gear wheel in order that the internal ring of the bearing was established on the sliding landing. We install an internal ring of the back bearing with a separator and rollers on the manufactured adaptation and we insert the device in a case. Then we establish an internal ring of the forward bearing with a separator and rollers and a flange of the leading gear wheel. Turning for a flange a gear wheel for the correct installation of rollers of bearings, we tighten a nut of fastening of a flange m 7,9–9,8 N.' moment (0,8–1,0 кгс.м).
We fix a case on a workbench so that its privalochny plane settled down horizontally. We establish a lekalny ruler in a bed of bearings by an edge in order that the contact of a line of beds occurred on the line.

We determine by a set of flat probes gap size between a ruler and a plate of adaptation.

We determine thickness of an adjusting ring by a difference between a gap and a deviation from the nominal provision of a new gear wheel (taking into account a deviation sign).

Marking of a deviation from nominal situation (in the 100-th shares of millimeter with the signs "plus" or "minus") is put on a conic part of a shaft of a gear wheel.

For example, the measured gap is equal to 2,90 mm, and on a gear wheel the deviation from nominal situation-15 is put. We transfer a deviation to millimeters: –15 x 0,01 = –0,15.
The required thickness of an adjusting ring will make: 2,90–(–0,15) = 3,05 mm.
We establish an adjusting ring of the required thickness on a new leading gear wheel. We take adaptation from a case of a reducer and we remove internal rings of forward and back bearings with separators and rollers.

Suitable piece of a pipe napressovyvay on a new leading gear wheel an internal ring of the back bearing with a separator and rollers.

We insert the leading gear wheel into a reducer case. We install the new expansion plug, an internal ring of the forward bearing with a separator and rollers and a maslootrazhatel. Having greased a working edge of a new epiploon with Litol-24 lubricant, we press it in a case nest. We establish a flange of the leading gear wheel.

Having stopped a flange, gradually we tighten a nut of its fastening by a dynamometer key until 118 N. of m (12 кгс.м).

We control a preliminary tightness of bearings of the leading gear wheel a dynamometer...

… periodically checking the moment of resistance of bearings to rotation of the leading gear wheel.

If the moment of resistance to rotation was less than 157 N. cm (16 кгс.см) – for new bearings, and for bearings after 30 km of a run – less than 39,2 N. of cm (4 кгс.см), then we tighten a nut of fastening of a flange, without exceeding the inhaling moment. After that again we check the moment of resistance to rotation of the leading gear wheel.
If the moment of resistance was more than 197 N. cm (20 кгс.см) – for new bearings, and for the earned extra bearings – more than 59,0 N. of cm (6 кгс.см), then the preliminary tightness of bearings is exceeded.
In this case it is necessary to replace cherezmerno the deformed expansion plug new and to repeatedly carry out assembly and adjustment.
We establish in a reducer case differential assembled with bearings and adjusting nuts so that they adjoined to external rings of bearings. We tighten bolts of covers of bearings the required moment.
The special key for an inhaling of adjusting nuts is made of a steel plate 49,5 mm wide and 3-4 mm thick.
Adjustment of a side gap in gearing of gear wheels of the main transfer and the preliminary tightness of bearings of a box of differential is carried out at the same time, to several stages.

We measure by a caliper distance between covers of bearings.

We wrap the left adjusting nut (from the conducted gear wheel) before full elimination of a gap in gearing of gear wheels of the main transfer.

We wrap the right nut against the stop and we tighten it on 1–2 teeth of a nut.

Tightening the left nut, we establish the required side gap of 0,08-0,13 mm in gearing of gear wheels of the main transfer.
At this gap, shaking the conducted gear wheel, we feel as fingers of a hand the minimum side play in gearing of gear wheels which is followed by easy knock of tooth about tooth.
At an inhaling of nuts of a cover of bearings of a box of differential disperse and the distance between them increases.
For installation of a preliminary tightness of bearings of a box of differential consistently it is also evenly tightened both adjusting nuts of bearings before achievement of distance between covers of 0,15-0,20 mm. Having established a preliminary tightness of bearings, finally we check a side gap in gearing of gear wheels of the main transfer which should not change. For this purpose, …

… slowly turning the conducted gear wheel on three turns, fingers we control a side play in gearing of each couple of teeths.

If the gap in gearing appears more demanded (0,08-0,13 mm), then rotation of adjusting nuts we bring closer the conducted gear wheel to the leader or we remove if the gap is less. At the same time to keep the established preliminary tightness of bearings, we move the conducted gear wheel, tightening one of adjusting nuts and weakening another on the same corner.
After adjustment we establish lock plates of adjusting nuts and we fix them by bolts.
