The transmission – mechanical, with manual switching, has five transfers of the forward course and one – back, all transfers of the forward course are synchronized. It is unified with the transmission 2107; slightly only the back cover differs: the opening under the drive of a speedometer is closed by a cap as the speedometer of "Field" is given from the transfer case. Now for all transmissions a transfer number of a box 2105 is used.

Case details of a box – a coupling case, actually a case of the transmission and a back cover – are cast from aluminum alloy and pulled together among themselves with hairpins with nuts. Connections are condensed with cardboard laying (at repair it is possible to use sealant). For improvement of the heat sink a surface of a case of the transmission of an orebren. From below the case is closed by a steel stamped cover with laying (fastening – on hairpins). The case of coupling fastens bolts to the block of cylinders of the engine. For ensuring coaxiality of a bent shaft and a main shaft of the transmission the case is aligned on two plugs (under them pro-points in fixing openings of the block and a case are executed). On a back cover of the transmission the third support of the power unit is established. It fastens to a cross-piece, and the last – to a body floor (on welded bolts).

In a case of the transmission the jellied (control) opening, in its lower cover – drain is on the left side located. Openings are closed by traffic jams with a conical carving. In a drain stopper there is a magnet. It detains the steel particles getting to oil at wear of details. In the top part of a case of coupling it is screwed сапун. It interferes with increase in pressure in the transmission at its heating. In case of malfunction of a sapun (jamming of a cap) the strong leak of oil through consolidations is possible.

In the transmission three shaft: primary, secondary and intermediate. The main shaft leans on two ball bearings – in a back end face of a bent shaft and in a forward wall of a case of the transmission (the last perceives the main part of loading). In a back end face of a main shaft the needle bearing which is a forward support of a secondary shaft and providing coaxiality of shaft is installed. The secondary shaft also leans on the ball bearing in a back wall of a case of the transmission and the roller bearing in its back cover. The intermediate shaft rotates in two bearings: forward – two-row ball, is located in a forward wall of a case of the transmission, back – roller, located in its back wall. Via the block of gear wheels of a backing and the V transfer the intermediate shaft also leans on the roller bearing in a back cover of the transmission. On a back wall of a case of a box also the axis of an intermediate gear wheel of a backing is fixed.

The main shaft has two gear wreaths. The Kosozuby wreath located closer to a forward wall of a case is in continuous gearing with a forward gear wheel of an intermediate shaft (thus, these shaft always rotate together). The Pryamozuby wreath of a main shaft is a transfer synchronizer IV wreath (at its inclusion the torque is transferred directly from a main shaft to secondary, passing intermediate therefore this broadcast is often called "straight line").

The intermediate shaft represents the block from four kosozuby gear wheels. At inclusion of any transfer, except IV, the torque is transferred to a secondary shaft through intermediate. Gear wheels of an intermediate shaft are located in the following order (from its forward end): a gear wheel of continuous gearing with a main shaft, gear wheels III, II, I transfers. By the back end of a shaft a bolt the block from two gear wheels fastens: backing (pryamozuby) and V transfers (kosozuby). It in addition leans on the roller bearing in a back cover of the transmission.

On secondary to a shaft the conducted gear wheels III, II, I transfers, a backing and the V transfer (one after another, considering from the forward end of a shaft) and synchronizers are located. The conducted gear wheels of transfers of the forward course are in continuous gearing with the corresponding gear wheels of an intermediate shaft. Gear wheels III and II transfers rotate on the tempered necks of a secondary shaft, gear wheel of I and V transfers – on plugs. The conducted gear wheel of a backing is rigidly fixed on a shaft by a spline. At the same time with kosozuby gear wheels of transfers of the forward course wreaths of their synchronizers – pryamozuby gear wheels of smaller diameter are executed. They are directed towards the corresponding synchronizer (III, I, V – forward, II – back). On the back end of a secondary shaft the nut fixed a flange of the elastic coupling. Earlier the nut was fixed from an otvorachivaniye the lock washer enclosed under it – its edges unbent on the verge of a nut. Now apply anaerobic sealant on a carving, and do not establish a washer.

The synchronizer consists of the nave which is rigidly fixed on secondary to a shaft, the sliding coupling, the lock ring blocking rings and springs with a washer. Naves of synchronizers III-IV and I-II of transfers enter internal ledges grooves on secondary to a shaft, and the nave of the synchronizer V of transfer is kept by the same spline, as the conducted backing gear wheel. On an external surface of naves there are vents on which the sliding couplings move. On couplings there are bores which forks of rods of gear shifting enter. The blocking rings are connected by the internal wreaths to wreaths of synchronizers of the corresponding gear wheels and drawn in by springs towards the sliding couplings. Springs lean on a side surface of the conducted gear wheels through washers.

Transfer of a backing has no synchronizer. For its inclusion it is necessary to enter an intermediate gear wheel into gearing with the conducted gear wheel of a secondary shaft and with the leading gear wheel of a backing in the back block of gear wheels on intermediate to a shaft.

The drive of control of the transmission consists of three rods connected to forks. Forks of inclusion of transfers of the forward course enter bores of the sliding couplings of synchronizers, and a fork of inclusion of a backing – bore on an intermediate gear wheel.

The mechanism of the choice of transfers consists of the directing plate with eight rectangular cuts in the center, the top and lower washers, the lever of gear shifting and its case and a blocking bracket of a backing. These details are pulled together with three bolts which the mechanism of the choice of transfers fastens to a back cover of a box. "Neutral" position of the lever between III and IV transfers is set by two couples of sprung directing levels established in grooves of the directing plate and influencing the lower end of the lever. Casual inclusion of a backing instead of the V transfer is impossible thanks to the unbent petal of the blocking bracket against which the ledge on the lever rests. To include transfer of a backing, it is necessary to press the lever down – at the same time its ledge falls below a bracket petal.

Details of the transmission are greased with spraying. Primary and secondary shaft are condensed with epiploons, and on secondary to a shaft behind the conducted gear wheel of the V transfer the maslootrazhatelny washer is located. In the transmission fill in gearbox oil with viscosity from 75W80 to 85W90 and GL-4 is not lower than a class of quality. Its level has to be at the lower edge of a jellied opening (previously be convinced that the car costs horizontally).
